Do Signs Make a Difference? Sometimes people debate about whether or not to spend their money on signs. They wonder whether or not they are worth the investment. Let me share a couple of stories with you that prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that signs are well worth their cost. Both of these events actually happened. Magnetic Signs: One day a fellow came into our shop and ordered a set of Magnetic Signs for his automobile. He did Windshield repair without replacing the windshield. The next day when he came back to pick up his signs I walked out to his car with him to put them on and tell him how to take better care of them. Just as we had finished putting his signs on his vehicle another man drove up in front of our shop and parked in the space next to my customer. The first question out of this man’s mouth was: “do you do windshield repair? Would you take a look at my windshield?” He got a job right there in the parking lot which more than paid for the signs he had just purchased. Yard Signs: A lady who is a Real Estate Broker came in and ordered a Yard sign with a wrap-around frame. We made the sign for her but it leaned against the wall of our showroom for nearly three months before she finally came to pick it up. She had put up a fifty percent deposit so we knew someday she would come back to get her sign. When she finally did come in to pick up her sign she told us a most incredible story. Someone had come into our shop, seen her sign and written her phone number down off of the sign. This person had called her and she had made sale which resulted in a nice commission. She was elated. No telling how many other commissions she had missed by leaving the sign in our showroom so long but she is now a believer in the value of signs.
